Oct 24, 2023

The Galaxy Fold 5 is the latest and greatest in foldables, and while it's quite expensive, we've collected some of the best deals we could find to help save you some extra money.

Samsung's Z-series phones are at the top of the pack in an increasingly complex and saturated foldables market, especially with the recent release of the OnePlus Fold. Even so, the Z Fold 5 easily tops the charts when it comes to value for money and features, and it's even one of our favorite foldables. The best of the best comes at a price, but there are some deals you can take advantage of.

Select retailers are offering as much as $300 off unlocked models, and you can save even more if you've got an old phone to trade in or perhaps need a new line of service. And to help you take full advantage of these offers, below, we've rounded up some of the best Z Fold 5 deals out there right now. We'll continue to update this page as offers come and go, so be sure to check back often for the best prices available.

Samsung

$1,000 of trade-in credit

There are a number of benefits that come with ordering your new Z Fold 5 from Samsung directly, including access to exclusive colors. That said, there are sadly no direct discounts, but you can get up to $1,000 worth of trade-in credits. The biggest trade-in credits will come from the latest Apple and Samsung phones, netting you the biggest discount. And even old and damaged phones will still net you a minimum discount of $200.

Samsung also accepts select tablets and smartwatches for trade-in for a smaller discount.

Samsung is also offering a 15% student discount.

Amazon

$300 off unlocked models

Amazon is one of the only places offering straightforward discounts on unlocked models of the Z Fold 5 at the moment. You can save $300 on all colors and configurations, which drops the 256GB model down to $1,500, and the 512GB model down to $1,620. Just note that Amazon is not carrying any of the 1TB models at the moment.

Best Buy

$300 off + more with trade-in

Best Buy has matched Amazon's offer on the Z Fold 5, and you can currently pick up all configurations, including the 1TB model, for $300 off the list price.

Best Buy also has its own trade-in program where you can save up to $450 on unlocked models in exchange for your old phone. Verizon customers will also save $300 automatically and will get enhanced trade-in credit that can save you up to $1,000, though only the phantom black variant of the 256GB model is available.

AT&T

Up to $1,000 off with trade-in

AT&T is offering up to $1,000 off the Z Fold 5 with an eligible trade-in, but you'll have to purchase the phone on an installment plan to take advantage of the offer. You'll get the full discount for any Galaxy S, Note or Z series phone, or any phone valued at just $35 or more. AT&T even accepts old and damaged devices, so you may be surprised at what you can get for the cracked phone collecting dust in your drawer. The discount is applied as bill credits over 36 months and drops the price for the Z Fold 5 down to just $22.23 per month.

Verizon

Up to $1,000 off with trade-in + bonuses

Verizon customers adding a new line of service can save up to $1,000 with an eligible trade-in. Or, if you're an existing customer who qualifies for an upgrade, you can still save up to $800 with just a trade-in. Verizon is also offering some other bonuses, including $550 in promo credit for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE 5G  -- though note that you'll need a new line of service for these devices as well.

T-Mobile

Up to $1,000 off with new line or trade-in

T-Mobile is the only carrier out there at the moment offering a discount on the Galaxy Z Fold 5 that doesn't require a trade-in. You can save up to $1,000 when adding a new line of service on a Go5G Next or Go5G Plus plan, or $600 when adding a new line on another qualifying service plan. If you do have an old phone to trade in, you can save up to $1,000 if you already have or switch to a Go5G Next or Plus plan, or up to $500 if you have another qualifying service plan.
