Promotion of "Maritime Silk Road Port Cooperation Forum'Held in London

Golden Age  Media,London,January  13,,Ningbo  Zhoushan  Port  Group  in  London,England, held  a    'Maritime Silk Road Port Cooperation Forum(MPF2025)'     promotion    activities,the    Chinese Embassy  in  London,Zhejiang  Provincial  Seaport  Group,Ningbo  Zhoushan  Port  Group,the British shipping,the media and other guests more than 70 people attended the promotion.

Yu Benlin,Minister of Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Chinese Embassy in the United Kingdom,mentioned  in  his  speech:this  activity  is  the  first  time  to  participate  in  the  forum  activities after I assumed my duties,the Maritime Silk Road Port Cooperation Forum has been successfully held for many years,and it has become an important platform for trade and shipping exchanges between China  and  the  United  Kingdom  and  China  and  the  European  Union.China,Britain  as  the world's major economies and free trade supporters,has a wide range of co-operation space. Efficient,automation-led  port  shipping  greatly  reduces  freight   costs  and  improves  trade exchanges  between the two countries,and  bilateral trade  between  China and the  UK  has reached E110 billion,with China investing more than E14 billion in related financial assets. Britain  is  the  birthplace  of  modern  shipping  industry,China  is  the  world's  largest  shipping country,I  hope  that  in  the future to strengthen  cooperation and exchanges  in  the field of shipping.

Ye Zhihang, Deputy General Manager of Zhejiang Seaport Group, said in his speech,    ‘It is a great honour to come to London again after 9 months, and it is also the first stop of our series of promotion meetings. The reason why we put London on the first stop is because London is both the world's financial centre and the world's shipping centre, and cooperation between Zhejiang and London can be further strengthened. ’      

John McLean, Chairman of the Sino-British Business Development Centre, said in his speech at the promotion meeting that China's economy is developing rapidly, port construction has advantages in intelligence, green and other aspects, and the UK has a long experience in port management and port finance, so the UK and China can further strengthen their cooperation in the aspects of port construction, shipping and so on.      

The UK Chancellor of the Exchequer has just finished his visit to China, and the UK and China have resumed their economic and financial dialogue, which has been suspended for six years. The UK will increase its exports of food, agricultural products and pet food to China. The export of these products from the United Kingdom relies mainly on sea transport. Therefore, it is the right time to hold the    ‘Maritime Silk Road Port Co-operation Forum (MPF2025)’ promotion conference in London.      

It is reported that the    ‘Maritime Silk Road Port Cooperation Forum’ was launched in 2015, so far it has been  held  for  eight  sessions,  and   has   become  an   international  port  and   navigation professional forum.   ‘MPF2025 will beheld on 26-29 May 2025 in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province.
